Now we will be without wifi for one week. we are going to Atitilan - a lake two hours or so from Antigua. We are going to join in the ministry of someone there (but I am not sure what we are going to do yet) When we come back from the lake we are going to stay some more days here in Antigua and help someone from the base to paint a building that is going to be used as a shelter for homeless people :-) That will be fun.
The last days here have been good. Yesterday we split into groups and went to people's doors in the neighborhood here to give bibles to the houses that didn't have one. To go door to door like that, I have always found scary - I have never done it before I got to Guatemala. In Norway we are very cold and put off. It's not normal to have people coming to your door without notice - and if people you don't know show up on your door it is normally because they want to sell you something. And by personal experience I can say that people are not very nice when you stand outside their door. But in Guatemala the culture is different. It is so strange. Behind every door we knocked on, there stood smiling people, who were so happy to get Bibles - or said in a polite way that they already had one. In 3 homes we were invited in and we got to pray for everyone we asked needed prayed for anything. three ladies received Jesus as their saviour and some invited us to please come back. We were out for 2.5 hours to bless people - but as for me - I was left with so many blessings myself! I can't believe how easy it is to make friends here. In some of the homes people were so lonely and they didn't even want us to leave. I also have a mother story about a family we have get to know here - but that story I have to tell when I get home from the lake - because we have to leave now.
Following are some photos from our Christmas and the beautiful people I got to celebrate with :-)
