After a long three day trip, we finally find ourselves in Ahuas, Honduras. We have been in different airports and gotten to know new places, we have experienced different kinds of weather and different kinds of food. We have encountered many people and new languages and we're continuing enthusiastically because we know that we're going to continue seeing the great blessings of God in this place, in all of the people here, and also in us, as He has already been doing.
Monday at 2 in the morning we left the Sacramento airport from where we took our first flight. After two more flights we finally landed in San Pedro Sula where we slept in a hotel close to the airport. There we were able to eat typical Honduras food and relax in the pool, it was a nice time for us to rest before continuing our travels. The next day we left for La Ceiba where we rested so that we could fly out really early to the Mizkito region. The flight wasn't only different, it was also very special. When we arrived at the airport we realized that the airplanes were a lot smaller than usual and that made us more enthusiastic to fly. When we were finally inside we were all experiencing different feelings, personally I never felt nervous during the flight, but the sound of the motor was really loud and didn't let me sleep. Sitting next to me was a young Mizkito named Eusebio, who made the flight more comfortable for me. He taught me a lot of words in Mizkito and he told me some about his personal life. It was a pleasant time where we could share a lot of experiences and we were also able to pray. The service wasn't first class but we did eat potato chips from Honduras that were almost as good as Lays chips. When we arrived in Honduras we landed in a local airport, just a dirt runway in the main road. Ahuas is a very warm place just like the people here and we are all very glad to be here getting to know and loving each other with the love of Christ.
