Testimony by Michael Tully

A part of my testimony I want to bring up is about a treasure hunt we did on Tuesday. In my group were James, Elizabeth and myself. God showed us characteristics about a college age male wearing jean shorts and a blue shirt. This was really hard for me since everyone I saw that was wearing jean shorts and a blue shirt was older or under the age, but since I kept seeing those qualities a lot it kept me encouraged. So I decided to step over the chicken line when I saw someone that looked like he was college-age and wearing jean shorts and a blue shirt. I stopped him by saying, “Excuse me, I am on a treasure hunt and I think you are my treasure.” He looked at me in a state of confusion, I showed him my piece of paper with my characteristics and he didn’t quite understand. I asked him if he needed any prayer for his family and he looked at me in confusion and said, “No.”

So we started walking and found another person with the same characteristics that really stuck out. So I walked up to him and told him the same thing that I had said to the last person. So he looked at me with a little interest in his eyes and I showed him my piece of paper just like the other guy. I asked him if he needed prayer for family and he said, “Yes”. So after he said yes, I prayed for him and his family. Afterward, he started asking me a few questions about myself and what we are doing here. I answered and told him about the school we are in and how we are staying at the base here in Labasa. It so turns out that he happened to be the cousin of a staff member at the base named Milli. He then asked me how I liked Fiji and I told him “Its an experience I don’t regret.” and we parted ways. I thought it was really cool that God highlighted Milli’s cousin to me and that I was able to step over the chicken line
