Dear Family and Friends, (Bula from Fiji)

Proverbs 13:12 states, "Hope deferred makes the hear sick but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life".

For our team it was a longing fulfilled to meet felt needs in the rural Solovi area in the small home of Uma and Prem, who some of the recent Chico teams will remember, where a free dental clinic was conducted this week for three days. It had made our hearts sick to see diabetes, heart kidney and dental disease stealing the health of these precious people. It is not uncommon for these people with their beautiful smiles to have several teeth missing by age 21.

The word was out by day three of the clinic, thus the waiting crowds were growing larger each day, Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Fijian, Indofijian, the young, the old came with expectant hearts for taking away pain in their mouths. The days were long for the workers from Emmanuel Worship Center, Lautoka Marine Reach and YWAM Chico Crossroads, but God's promise is, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness". II Corinthians 12: 9-10

It was a joy to be able to teach healthy diet and tooth brushing. Many extractions were performed as well as some cleaning and fillings. Though the conditions were far from what we are accustomed to in America, many were encouraged by the gospel of Christ, by worship and dance in the waiting areas, by words of knowledge and wisdom.
More than 200 people received dental care. We believe many would say we had "touched the hem of Jesus" together this week.

ALL PRAISE AND GLORY TO OUR GREAT AND WONDERFUL LORD JESUS CHRIST!

Thank you for your support and encouragement and prayers.

Allen, Kathy, Greg, Randy, Mark, Jieun, Jim and Judy
